Dog sledding began in Canada and Alaska where, in the far north, people were dependent on their dogs for protection, companionship, hunting, trapping and, most of all, transportation.
Included in our assortment are accommodations with ski in-ski out locations, such as the Chalet Vieux Logis and a plenty that offer only a short walk to the piste. Our ski hire shop is just 200m away along with the Tourist Office, as well as a good selection of bars and shops.
Other companies such as Scott Dunn offer an 8 hour window but you can use the time in two blocks at times set by the customer such as 09:00-12:00 and 15:00-20:00.
The on site staff are brilliant, but what they have to work with is to miserly.Lovely comfortable chalet, perfect on-piste location and luxorious service from the chalet hosts - Ellie, Heidi and jake. They are fantastic cooks and have taken care of us more than we could have asked for. Our sympathies go especially to the resort staff whose season was suddenly cut short, to all the bitterly disappointed skiers who now have to wait for next year and to all the VIP office staff who are having to mop up the chaos. Lessons are available for beginners or advanced abilities and you will find all their instructors are not only highly competent but extremely friendly to ensure you enjoy your lessons. The wine and cheese were great and generous. The highest point of the massif is the Pic Blanc at 3,330m. It made the holiday superb.Lovely chalet with really friendly staff! The chalet is lovely and the view is utterly beautiful. Your ski pass includes one day in Les Deux Alpes, so what are you waiting for?! Overall very happy with the experience, the situation of the chalet and it's facilities. They took care in the cooking and we loved every meal. A return trip can be booked from the Alpe d'Huez Altiport for only 70 euros per person.
