It is a spin-off from the Terminator series of films. I'm really hooked to this series, now I'm so looking forward to watch the entire 2nd series (even if, to whet the apetite, I've already searched for pieces of the new episodes & more on the net, of course...)because it's just getting better and better! The series manages to work really well, it has good effects, good storyline and best of all good acting, with Summer Glau as the insanely hot and strong cyborg and Lena Headey leading the frontline as Sarah Connor, it is not to be missed for any terminator fan, can't wait to get the second season, can't believe it, top notch! Each episode is like a movie. Terminator: Dark Fate [Blu-ray] Being a massive Terminator fan since childhood I decided to plunge into this quite a while after it's release as I didn't think it would do the Terminator ''World'' if you will any justice, surely a tv show cannot hold my interest as much as watching the blockbuster films?!? The pilot episode was similar, but the show is so much more than that. Like Firefly, this is a greatly underappreciated series that the studio mogules killed off never realizing they had an underground runaway hit on their hands. I have seen in 3 times and still can't get enough. Also there is too much that goes on without closure such as Ms. Weaver; What is it? I must admit that my review is lame at best, with no details or explanation, with more a "take my word for it" than anything else, rather than write an informed opinion. We can only hope that there will be a third season! This 1:18 scale diecast model comes with the Sarah Connor figurine. Series continues nicely from T2 and skips the events in T3 (which was worst of the movies anyways) and continues the saga in an intelligent and creative way. I can't recommend it enough. Could have run and run.
Could have run and run. I think this series is an exelent take of what Terminator is all about.
(E.g, you get to see the captured time-displacement technology, you see how the rebels operate, there's an old 'rubber' terminator as mentioned in the first film, there are different terminators with different missions and specifications, e.t.c). It should have easily run for at least 4 or 5 seasons instead of being cancelled after season 2 due to the studios making Terminator 3. But it was picked up for a full second season in 2008-2009. Summer Glau,Thomas Dekker and Lena Heady and the rest of the actors have been brilliant.
